Brett Favre's wife, Deanna Favre, is understandably troubled by the recent allegations involving her NFL star husband. She's relying on the Bible to lift her spirits during the scandal involving the Minnesota Vikings' legendary shot-caller.
He's accused of sending explicit pics and texts to Jenn Sterger and others.
"I'm a woman of faith," Deanna Favre said on Good Morning America. "Faith has gotten me through many difficult struggles. It will get me through this one."
Deanna Favre, Brett Favre's wife, is leaning on faith.
Deanna was on the program to discuss The Cure for the Chronic Life, a book she co-wrote about getting past hard times and patterns of unhealthy behavior.
An ironic, if appropriate title, given the growing list of Brett Favre accusers.
"You have to not let this struggle define you. You have to define your struggle and use it in a good way," Deanna said. "I'm handling this through faith."
Sadly, Brett probably wishes Jenn were handling this with lotion.
During the interview, Mrs. Favre did not address whether the allegations against her husband are true or false, nor has he commented one way or the other.
Brett Favre met with an NFL security official Tuesday regarding the allegations that he sent lewd pictures and racy messages to then-Jets employee Sterger.
That happened in 2008, when Favre was quarterback for the team. He has also been accused by a pair of massage therapists for the Jets of similar actions.
Speaking with reporters in Green Bay ahead of Sunday's Vikings-Packers game, Favre called the NFL's investigation into his alleged behavior a "league matter."
He also declined to answer questions about the increasingly scandalous Sterger situation in his weekly news conference Wednesday with Minnesota media.
Vikings fans had better lean on faith, too ... that he remains eligible.
